You Can’t Even Buy This
November 28, 2007 |
How we think and how we act are in direct correlation to the fruit in our lives. Positive thinking begets positive behavior while negative thinking begets, what else? Negative behavior of course. But what is intriguing is that we can actually reap materialistically from the way we think. How powerful is that?
A lot of times, wealth and prosperity are more often than not tied to abundance. It’s true that the majority of people want wealth, success and prosperity. But let’s look for a moment at another spoke on the abundance wheel: peace.
Peace is a “thing” that we cannot buy or get in any form. Wars have been fought for it. Treaties have been signed in honor of it. Truces have been drawn to it. Illusive peace that’s hard to find and even harder to keep.
But if we stop for a moment and consider that in order for us to have peace, we must change our thinking. Brian Tracy gives a famous quote that says,
“Set peace of mind as your highest goal, and organize your life around it.”
When we live and think in a heightened state of peace, peace will attract itself to us. This is different from standard relaxation techniques because it is a state of being rather than a state of doing. It is a noun and not a verb. We can find and be in peace if we can change our thinking. Attach yourself to peaceful things; the people you associate with, the places you go, the conversations you keep, all are a part of the developmental thinking we have in an effort to find peace. And, if we can manage our thinking, we can manage our peace.

Nice post. I used to only think I could feel at peace when in a relaxed state, but realized if your mind is at peace you will be running fine throughout the day.
