If You Want To Be Successful, Just Keep Quiet

There are people in your life who don’t want to see you do well. Did you know that? There are people at your job, in your church, in your schools, in your neighborhoods and maybe even in your home that just get all upset when they see abundance and prosperity come your way. With some people, it’s an unstoppable action with them to be negative when they see the universe open up for you. These people are negative-attracters and can’t see good in anything. Why should they be in your life?
I can remember when I followed my dream and started working from home in my writing business, there were numerous co-workers who would tell me that I would “be back in no time”, and “it’s just a matter of time before it gets to you”, and even “you need this paycheck too badly…you’ll be back”. I mean, why were they so, so negative when all I was doing was following my heart’s desire to achieve my dream? Some may call it constructive criticism, some call it jealousy. I call negativity and I (nor do you) absolutely do not need it in my life.There are people who are around you and in your life who, and hold on to your seats when I say this, do not want to see you successful or prosper in life. They want to see you live mediocre or even struggle. That makes them feel better about themselves. Makes them feel that they don’t have to try as hard. If that doesn’t bother you, then you’re fine. But, it does bother me and I’ll tell you why. You see, words are powerful. They carry weight with them when they’re spoken and released into the atmosphere. That’s why successful people surround themselves with other successful people. If you hear long enough that you’re going to fail, guess what? You’re more likely to fail. Why? Because you listened to those words, absorbed them into your psyche and allowed them to become a part of your actions. If you want to be successful, if you want to be prosperous, be quiet.Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying to hide your prosperity or to be ashamed of it. No, just the opposite. Just know when, how and to whom you will share your celebrations with. There are what I call “word hounds” that are poised and ready to jump on your prosperity bandwagon and bring you down at the drop of a hat. You’ll know what’s happening because when you give a great report, they’ll always find something wrong with it or a glitch in it. Sometimes it’s harmless, sometimes it’s on purpose. Only you’ll be able to tell which is which. Just be conscious of your success and where it belongs.
And just keep quiet.

Sometimes we have to thank them for taking the effort to try to pull us down. Cos only then can we prove to them that they are idiots and can go stick it up their rears when we make it

I totally agree with this. Great article.
I totally agree, I remembered, everytime I would share my success or plans with someone it never worked out. Maybe I jinxed myself by doing that. I learned from it and vowed to keep quiet. Thanks for the insight.
