Giving Is An Act Of Abundance…
May 8, 2008 | Leave a Comment
When you can give, it means that you have more than enough and you can afford to give and share the excess…
What better way to tell the Universe that you have abundance!
When you give, subconsciously you are telling yourself that you have abundance and you know that you will have more even though you have given… it is a sign of abundance and of gratitude. However, giving does not necessarily mean giving money or objects of value.
Personally I think if someone give me his or her time, that is of even greater value and no amount of money can match. So when you give, you can give your time, your energy, your love, your care, your sincerity, your respect, your attention… indeed, giving is vast and when you give, you receive far more than the person whom you gave to!
Here’s a great way to give right now and help thousands who are far less fortunate than all of you who are reading this :

How Can You Reduce Tension In Your Life?
May 2, 2008 | Leave a Comment
In modern society, it is not unusual to be constantly feeling stressed. Tension in your life can get very high and if left to fester for a long period of time without doing anything about it, it could lead to more serious conditions like hypertension, high blood pressure or worst, depression.
How can you defuse or reduce the tension in your life right now?
Here are some tips which can give you much relief from a high strung life :
1. Take a deep breath and count to 10. Do not let your emotion overwhelm yourself and react. Often the reaction is not controlled and often destructive. If possible, practise breathing exercises regularly.
2. Identifying your cause of tension or stress. Carry a small notebook with you so that every time you feel stressed when a certain event/problem happen, jog the event down in that notebook. Write down your feelings and reactions to that event/problem in the notebook. At the end of the month, read back what happened and analyse it. Sometimes just through the act of writing down your feelings, it can serve as a release of tension, allowing you time to think over the event/problem and may provide a deeper insight to your problem. As a result, it may help you solve the problem.
3 . Keep items that you love around you. For example, your favorite picture eg. happy babies laughing, hanging on a wall near you so that whenever you feel tensed, you can look at the picture. Or have your favorite piece of music ready at hand so that you can listen to it whenever you feel stressed. My favorite is to have a piece of my favourite music playing softly in the background and soaking myself in a nice aromatic bath…
4. Call your close friends or relatives. Having a good listening ear is always great for releasing tension. Discussion of a problem with someone whom you trust and respect is helpful.
5. Exercise! Yes, one of the best way to release tension is to exercise. Many famous entreprenuers take some form of regular exercise like jogging or swimming as a form of relaxation and to keep them alert.
6. Having a pet. Keeping a dog or a cat has been shown to be relaxing and stress reducing for owners.
7. Do charity work. Do a good deed. Help someone in whatever little way you can. By helping someone, you are telling yourself that you are more fortunate and have the ability to overcome challenges that others cannot. Thus, being able to help someone is definitely PRICELESS… ( much more than having a mastercard…

What Woody Had To Say…
April 28, 2008 | Leave a Comment
I was rewatching some of my old movie collection and I came across one of my favorite film makers , Woody Allen. He was the one who made Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, Mighty Aphrodite… to name a few of his films.
Here are some quotes from the man himself, Woody Allen which I found online :
1. “Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.”
Looks like the man understands the value of money. Some of us just loathe the idea of being rich, and our subconscious self sabotage ourselves.
2. “I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.”
Good one. However, I do think the Universe is watching too! And by golly, the Universe is watching the government too!
3. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?”
Woody never fails to make me laugh
However, I too think there are many many other things that are worst than death. Life is too short to be worrying about death.
4. “Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.”
Spot on.
The next one is the cream of the crop! Everyone oughta be doing this instead of whining and complaining… the world willl be a better place to be. Woody does know his law of attraction …
“The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have,
instead of what you don’t have.”

It Has Been Some Time… Where Is Alison?
April 26, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Some of you might be wondering where is Alison? Where did she go?
I have been travelling for the past few months and pondering over my life.
I get times like this in my life when I need a break from my life.
It is a good thing to be able to take time off and rest your body as well as soul. In addition, think about your life, your direction and your why. Sometimes, when you take a break from your life, and then come back, you will be refreshed, recharged and ready to go! Even if it is a small break, it is often beneficial for you in more than one way.
This few months of travelling have given me a much needed time to rest my body and my mind. The new experiences opened doors in my mind, lifted my spirits and given me a totally exceptional rejuvenation to me.
Life is beautiful.
